Whole House Repiping
At some point, patching one pinhole at a time costs more than replacing the system. Repiping is how you stop paying for the same problem repeatedly.
When repiping is the honest answer
Multiple pinhole leaks
One leak in copper is a repair. A third leak in two years means the pipe has reached the end of its service life and the next one is already forming somewhere you cannot see.
Galvanized steel supply
Common in Rancho Bernardo and older Escondido homes. Galvanized corrodes inward until the usable diameter is tiny. Pressure complaints in these homes are a diameter problem, not a pressure problem.
Polybutylene
Grey plastic pipe used in a window of 1980s-90s construction. It fails from the inside and is widely considered a replace-on-sight material.
Discoloured water on first draw
Rusty or brown water when a tap has been sitting is a symptom of the pipe itself deteriorating.
How we do it
PEX or copper
PEX is flexible, resists the hard-water pinholing that kills copper here, and needs fewer wall openings. Copper is rigid and proven. We will give you both prices and an honest opinion for your specific house.
Access and drywall
A repipe means opening walls at strategic points. We plan the route to minimise openings, and we tell you up front exactly where they will be rather than discovering them together.
Timeline and water service
Most homes are repiped in a few days, and we stage the work so you are not without water overnight.
