Backflow Preventer Installation & Service
A backflow preventer stops water in your irrigation or process system from reversing into the drinking supply. Water districts take them seriously, and so should you.
What it is and who needs one
The purpose
If pressure in the main drops, water can siphon backwards. A backflow assembly is the mechanical stop that prevents irrigation water, pool water or process water re-entering the potable supply.
Typical requirements
Properties with irrigation systems, fire suppression lines, pools, or commercial process water commonly require an assembly. Your water district sets the specific rules for your property.
Annual testing
Most districts require assemblies to be tested annually by a tester certified and registered with that district, and they will notify you when yours is due.

Sizing and installing the correct assembly type for the application, and replacing units that have failed or frozen.
Repair and rebuild
Assemblies have serviceable internals. A failed test does not always mean a full replacement.
Freeze and impact damage
Above-ground assemblies take knocks from landscaping equipment and, inland, occasional cold snaps.
